1. Standard Cancellation Policy

Our standard cancellation policy applies to most tour packages. The refund amount depends on how far in advance you cancel:

2. How to Cancel

To cancel your booking, please contact our support team:

Please include your booking reference number and reason for cancellation. Cancellations are processed based on the date we receive your request, not the date of your email.

3. Refund Processing

3.1 Processing Time: Approved refunds are processed within 7-14 business days. The actual credit to your account may take additional time depending on your bank or payment provider.

3.2 Refund Method: Refunds are issued to the original payment method. If the original payment method is no longer available, we will work with you to find an alternative.

3.3 Processing Fee: A 5% processing fee applies to all refunds to cover payment gateway charges. This fee is non-refundable.

4. Modifications Instead of Cancellation

Instead of cancelling, you may request to:

  • Change Travel Date: Subject to availability. Date changes made 7+ days before travel are free of charge. Changes within 7 days may incur fees.
  • Transfer Booking: Transfer your booking to another person. A PHP 500 transfer fee applies.
  • Change Package: Switch to a different tour package of equal or greater value. Price differences apply.

5. Special Circumstances

5.1 Medical Emergencies: Cancellations due to documented medical emergencies may qualify for special consideration. Please provide medical documentation.

5.2 Natural Disasters: If your tour is affected by typhoons, earthquakes, or other natural disasters, you will be offered a full refund or free rescheduling.

5.3 Government Restrictions: If travel is restricted due to government advisories or pandemic-related measures, we will provide full refunds or vouchers for future travel.

6. Cancellation by MyPhilippinesTrip

In rare cases, we may need to cancel a tour due to:

  • Insufficient participants (minimum group size not met)
  • Safety concerns or adverse weather conditions
  • Operational issues beyond our control

If we cancel a tour, you will be offered:

  • A full refund (100% of payment)
  • OR a transfer to an alternative date at no extra cost
  • OR credit towards another tour package (valid for 12 months)

7. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that includes trip cancellation coverage. Insurance can protect you from financial loss due to unexpected cancellations for reasons such as:

  • Illness or injury
  • Family emergencies
  • Flight cancellations
  • Lost or stolen documents

8. Non-Refundable Items

The following are non-refundable regardless of cancellation timing:

  • Processing fees
  • Travel insurance premiums
  • Visa processing fees
  • Special requests or customizations already arranged
